viruses

A virus is defined as any of a various number of submicroscopic parasites that can infect any animal, plant or bacteria and often lead to very serious or even deadly diseases. A virus consists of a core of RNA or DNA, generally surrounded by a protein, lipid or glycoprotein coat, or some combination of the three. No virus can replicate without the help of a host cell, and though they can be spread, viruses lack the ability of self-reproduction and are not always considered to be living organisms in the regular sense.(RNA and DNA)

Bacteria

Bacteria are microscopic organisms whose single cells have neither a membrane-bounded nucleus nor other membrane-bounded organelles like mitochondria and chloroplasts. Another group of microbes, the archaea, meet these criteria but are so different from the bacteria in other ways that they must have had a long, independent evolutionary history since close to the dawn of life.

Archaea

435_archaea.jpg

Archaea are in a modern taxonomic system, a domain made up of prokaryotes that are distinguished from other prokaryotes by differnences in their genetics and in the make-up of their cell wall; the domain aligns with the traditional kingdom Archaeabacteria. (Holt life sciene)

Animal Cell Diagram

One important parts of the animal cell is the Nucleus which holds the cells DNA. It is also the control center to the cell. Another important part of the animal is the Golgi Complex which helps the cell organelles package waste materials to be transported out of the cell.

Animal Cell Organelles

The Cyto skeleton is a web of proteins in the cytoplasm. The Nucleus is a large organelle, in a eukaryotic cell. Ribosomes are cell organelles that are composed of RNA and protein; the site of the protein synthesis. Endoplasmic reticulum is a system of membranes that is found in a cell's cytoplasm and that assists in the production, processing, and transport of proteins and in the production of lipids. The mitotchondrion is in the eukaryotic cells, the cell organelle that is surrounded by two membranes and that is the site of cellular resporation. chloroplast are organelles plant and algae cells. Golgi complex is cell organelles that help make and package materials to be transported out of the cell. Vesicle iis a small cavity or sac that contains materials in a eukaryotic cell. lysosomes are cell organelles that contain digestive enzymes. A tissue is a group of similar cells that perform a common function. An organ is a collective group of tissues thatthat carry out a specialized function of the body. An organ system is a group of organ that work together to preform body functions. An organism is a living thing; anything that can carry out life processes independently. The structure is the arrangement of parts in an organism. The function is the special, normal, or proper activity of an organ or part. Diffusion is the movement of particles from regions of higher density to regions of lower density. Osmosis is the deffusion of water through a semipermeable membrane. Passive transport is the movement of substances across a cell membrane without the use of energy by the cell. Active transport is the movement of substances across the c ell membrane that requires the cell to use energy. Endocytois is the prcess by which a cell membrane surronds a paricle and encloses the particle in a vesicle to bring the particle into the cell. Exocytois is the process in which a cell releases a particle by enclosing the particle in a vesicle that then moves to the cell suface and fuses. Photosynthesis is the process by which (Holt Life Science)

The swordfish is my favorite organism because it is very good to eat!!!!!!!! It also can preform amazing jump out of the water!!!
